About the artwork in the Love Me Like You Love Jesus exhibition
Yasuke in CyberPunk Funk: My newest piece, a mix of Afro Futurism and History with an Anime twist, a cyberpunk Yasuke! This currently is being tested out with different printing ICCs for the best result before being framed as diptych! This was drawn originally in inkscape, with some updates and added details from my original Yasuke drawing in 2021, then I added a VHS action in Adobe Photoshop. Thanks for your support!
Hera's Vision: This is the sister illustration to Pandora's Vision. This digital illustration followed the same process from vectors in Inkscape to processing in Photoshop. While this was created after Pandora, Hera is conceptualized to be the older sister to Pandora with a stripped back hairstyle and more explosive eye burst. Enjoy!
Pandora's Vision: This work is another step into Afro Futurism and follow's on the heels of some of my work on Yasuke and TunePad (freelanced the logo and landing page illustration). In both of those projects I focused on developing a anime-influenced illustration style that could play well with my heavy handed approach in Photoshop. For Pandora's vision, I set out to illustrate black women in this style as a increase the appearances of women in my art but also furthering my technique. The initial drawing was made in Inkscape, then processed in Photoshop. Enjoy!
